Blogs I love

I think a huge part of being a good (or even great) blogger is to follow and read those who are inspiring the world with their words! I’ve started a list of all of the blogs I follow and love to keep up with. There is a HUGE variety, lots of different kinds of topics, and some are blogs from students I’ve met with who are hoping to launch their work and get their foot in the door. Give some of these blogs a read and hopefully a follow!

Seth Adam Smith

Seth is an extraordinary writer and so inspirational. He’s a great friend of mine and a wonderful example of strength, stamina, and finding joy.

In Al Fox’s Head

Nicknamed the “Tattooed Mormon”, Al Fox is the definition of redemption and living a good and virtuous life despite everything that might lie within the past. She’s amazing.

Being out is in

Mikey is a wonderful friend of mine and an incredible person. His story of being gay while living life as a faithful member of the LDS church is nothing short of inspiring.

Essence of Film blog

Tiffany Contreras is a student at BYU-Idaho who began a blog shortly after I guest spoke for her class. I like how she relates her blog posts to films that have inspired her, which is a great passion in her life.

The Wit Logs

I can’t say enough about Emmilie. She’s a teacher, a writer, a mother, a wife, and an incredible person all around. Her writing is always raw, honest, and heartbreakingly genuine. I love everything about her.

This life I live

Joey and Rory are a country duo that has captured the world with not only their music, but their journey through terminal cancer. Rory’s blogs about living life with joy and peace and faith in God while enduring the hardest of trials is something everyone needs to read.
